ONLY A FEW MORE WEEKS UNTIL THE MASTERS!

Less than a month remains until Major Championship season kicks off for 2018 with the annual springtime tradition of The Masters. 2017 Mayakoba champion Patton Kizzire earned his invitation to participate in the year's first Major Championship by virtue of his victory at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba this past November.

Since 1934, the Masters Tournament, a strictly invitational Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

Good luck to our champion Patton Kizzire at The Masters! Be sure to tune in April 5-8 and visit www.Masters.com for all the coverage and excitement.

DID YOU KNOW...?
Mexico is the only country in the world where the PGA TOUR stages an event from each of its three main tours; FedExCup, Web.com Tour and PGA TOUR Latin America.

Mayakoba and the PGA TOUR have awarded $54 million dollars in prize money to tournament participants over 11 years. The most in all of golf in Latin America.

Twenty-one different Mexican golfers have participated in the tournament since its founding in 2007.

Mayakoba's course record is 61 (-9) by Roland Thatcher in the third round of the 2008 tournament. In the early years of the tournament, par was 70 and was later changed to 71.

The tournament is broadcast in 227 countries and territories around the world each year, providing an unrivaled level of exposure for Mexico and the Cancun-Riviera Maya tourist region.

Since the inception of the event in 2007, 5,455 volunteers have participated to help make the event successful and help the operations run smoothly.

There have been seven holes-in-one in competition by PGA TOUR players, including the most recent one by Kevin Mitchell in 2017. His first swing of the tournament in Thursday's opening round with a 6-iron at the 10th hole found the cup and he became only the fourth player on the PGA TOUR since 2002 to start a round with a hole-in-one.
