Only 10 days away from the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, the pioneering event of the PGA TOUR in México boasts the strongest field in its history. With a purse of $7.1 million dollars and a direct invitation to the Masters for the champion, the OHL Classic at Mayakoba keeps attracting the best golfers in the world.
This November, Mayakoba is ready to welcome world No. 7, Rickie Fowler, defending champion, Pat Perez, who just claimed the CIMB Classic title in Malaysia, climbing to No. 18 in the Official World Golf Ranking. Also, the PGA TOUR at the Caribbean will welcome Patrick Reed, currently No. 22 and, two-time major champion, Zach Johnson.
Part of being the first PGA TOUR held in México, the tournament is proud to announce five Mexican players that are confirmed for the OHL Classic at Mayakoba 2017 field. Roberto Diaz and Abraham Ancer who won the official PGA TOUR card for the 2017-2018 season. Oscar Fraustro, who got an exemption by winning the Mexican Qualifier, Carlos Ortiz and José de Jesús Rodriguez, who’s exemptions where conferred by the title sponsor OHL.
Other players also confirmed to participate are: Kevin Chappell, Jhonattan Vegas, Emiliano Grillo, Billy Horschel, Gary Woodland, Charley Hoffman, Graeme McDowell, Harris English, John Huh, Johnson Wagner, Brian Gay, Camilo Villegas and many more.
